what should i do about this?

She WILL NOT stay in her straps. I have tried tightening the straps really super tight and what do ya know... she figured out how to loosen them. I love love the Britax but why in the world would they put the strap release button in between their legs? Why? Isn't anyone smart enough to figure that one out. So I am at a loss of what to do. If I tell this little one to stay in she OF COURSE gets right out. Time outs don't work. Any suggestions anyone? I gotta keep this girl safe.

so you think you can dance..dance..dance.

Kace and I went to SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE at the E center a few nights ago. Our friends Jim and Angela got us tickets and since Jeffrey didn't want to go I took Kace. She was a real fun date! The show was so much fun to watch. We didn't want it to end.

The door dance is one of my favs!

first day of SCHOOL and i'm gonna look COOL.

Bentley just started speech preschool. So of course we had to get the typical first day of school pictures. She did really well her first day, only cried for about a minute when I left. She goes once a week for a couple of hours. We can't wait to start hearing her say words other than "i.d.", "daddy", "up", "uh-oh", and the latest "mom". I love that she calls me mom now! It's about time.

I love this, notice Reese's tongue. She does this all the time.

"Let me show you how to look cool sister."

FINALLY Bentley cooperated and Reese didn't. Am I asking for too much?

I love how much these two love each other. Reese lights up EVERY time Bent walks in the room. Bent is starting to want to play with her. But she forgets that she is still too little for some things. For example, this morning she was straddling Reese and pinning her down on her tummy... surprisingly Reese didn't fuss.

Baby "eese" as Bentley calls her.

swim. bike. run.

Waiting for our men to come out of the lake. Jeff, Jake and Greg were in the Bear Lake Triathlon this last weekend. They did an awsome job! Jeff did great considering he didn't train for it.

Kellie killing some time.

My chubby baby.

Greg finishing the swim. Jeff said he just about gave up after the first lap, but he is so glad he didn't. They all said that training in a pool doesn't prepare you for the lake. It's pretty brutal.

Jeff coming in from biking.

And Jake at the end of the run at the finish line, ready to be DONE! I know Jeff was.

They are done and now off to get Bear Lake shakes.

"Kellie your so funny!" wink wink

Bent hanging out the exhausted daddy on the grass. We stayed the weekend at Jake's family cabin. It was such a cute little place. The kitchen was so vintage, I am in love with it.

Trying REALLY hard to not look at the camera. She loved this tire horse swing.

The boys ready to kick up some dirt.

I know...you don't need to tell us were cool. We know.

Kace and Jake will you get married? Like now!

Kell and Greg will you hurry and have babies?
(I know you do Greg, your so good at burping Reese...the best in fact.)

Thanks Jake for your fabulous hospitality!

say goodbye to DIAPER BUTT.

Bentley started potty training herself a few days ago. I thought it would be a while for that but she all of the sudden took interest in her little potty, and actually goes in it not just sits on it. I ask her throughout the day if she needs to go and she always does (usually). Then she started telling us when she needed to go. This is how it went the other day.

Bent came up to Jeff and said in her own little language "i.d." (she uses that term for many things, we don't really now why) and then grabbed her diaper. Jeff said "you need to go potty?" and Bent replied "up", which means yes. So to the potty they headed, then when they almost made it Bent stopped and and said "uh-oh". Poor Bent she has been doing really good but sometimes doesn't make it in time. Jeff took off her diaper and put her on the potty anyway.
She thinks she is so big that she assumes it is her duty to dump the pee pee out in the toilet or the sink. It usually ends up all over the counter or floor. Fun for me!

Now we just need work on that dang binky.

this will put a perspective on life...

I was told about this blog a few days ago and now it is ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT! This beautiful sweet couple was in an airplane crash and now they are holding on to life in a burn unit in Arizona. Her (Stephanie) own blog is fun and uplifting to look at. She is an amazing wife and mom and very creative. Read about her story at her sister's blog blog.cjanerun.com and Stephanie's blog nieniedialogues.blogspot.com or you can click the Nie recovery button above. Hopefully who ever reads this who has not heard about it can pray for them as well.

my two best friends.

Just having a typical afternoon hanging out with the girls. Bent has been REALLY nice to Reese the past couple weeks. Lets hope it lasts for life. She loves helping out by giving Reese her binky when she is crying, and kisses just because. They are so fun!

Bear Lake Reunion

We just got back from my mom's side Rawsthorne family reunion in Bear Lake. It was the first time for the reunion to be down here in the states, we have always had it in Canada. So all the Canadians drove down and we all met at the lake. It was so much fun to have everyone together, it has been a few years. The week went very smoothly, the dinners were great, the activities were fun, and the beach was nice and relaxing. Oh and the fresh rasberry shakes... every night, sometimes twice a day, that is a must when in Bear Lake!
And i gotta say out of all the reunion shirts we saw there, ours were by far the best!

This is my cousin Kate, we are the same age. She grew up riding horses and I envied her life every year we were in Canada visiting. I wanted to be a cowgirl so bad. Although she is not really a cowgirl anymore.

Best cousies, Reese and Samatha.

My mom and Grandma, aren't they beautiful!

Not the best picture of my family but the only one we got.

This is me juggling my two kids. Reese was such a delight on the trip, Bent not so much...

This is my sister Lori and her little boy Luke.

Oh man Reese was in heaven! Parker gave her his sucker to see what she would do and she just went to town. It was so funny to watch her hold onto the stick and know exactly what to do!

I am so obsessed with her these days.

Sam and Reese in their baby leggings.

Cousin tub party with Bent, Livie, and Alex.

I just LOVE her face so much!

Jo and Alex just lounging in the sun.

Best buddies Grandpa and Reese. They love hanging out! Reese loved the sand under her feet.

My Grandma, mom and all her sisters hanging out on the beach.

My Grandma is the best, she is in her nineties and very willingly went out on the wave runner. She told my cousin Tom to go as fast as he wanted. Ha ha.. we love her! I want to be just like her!
