Happy Birthday Babe...

...we love you! Jeff turned 27 on the 12th. Bentley and I let him sleep in and then brought him breakfast in bed! I love the mornings that Jeff is there to hang out with Bent and I in bed. Usually he is out the house before we wake up, so it was a good reason to get him to stay and hang with us! Babe your the best... Happy Birthday!

in case anyone was wondering... yes, bentley does have a mullet but i don't have the heart to cut it!

Mum's Day!

I love this girl so much! I am so proud to be her mommy!

Bryn and Bentley hanging out at the park on Mother's Day. Bryn is the best cousin!

The weather has been fabulous, great for getting out to the parks!

Mother's Day was great. It was especially great beacause I got an excuse to be lazy and let Jeff take care of Bentley all day. Like taking a nap while Jeff played with her because she wouldn't go to sleep. That doesn't sound like a big deal but it is because Jeff loves his naps, I never really take them. Then my whole family met at a park and we had a barbeque. The guys all planned the meals so the girls (well Tami) had a day off of cooking! I am so happy to be a mother! Bentley is my life and I couldn't have asked for a more precious soul!

Rainy Day and New Hair

The other day it started raining really hard but it was still sunny outside so it was really cool. Then it started hailing so hard. I don't know why but I love hail. Bentley thought it so interesting, she didn't want to go inside.

When I was in Arizona I felt compelled for some reason to chop off all my hair and surprise Jeff. I am still getting use to it, I miss my long hair every other day. So for those of you that have wanted to see it, here it is.

Arizona Sun!

My sister-in-law Jenny flew Bentley and I to Arizona for a week. It was so nice playing in 80 degree weather, especially when it was snowing in Utah and I was laying out in hot sun! Patty and I went horse back riding with one of Jenny and Greg's friends who own's horses. It was more like trail blazing up and down rocky mountains (or hills). We were out for three hours, my horse was pretty easy to ride but my back was wrenched for a few days after. But it was the most fun I have had on a horse!

Bentley doesn't really know what to think about grass. This is her usual pose, one leg up!

Cutest cousin Conner eating popcorn while Bent just sits watching wishing she could have some. Conner was so cute with Bentley.

We went to the coolest pool. It had sand all around it going into the zero entry pool so you felt like you were at the beach. She loves hanging out in the water!

Beach baby!

oops..

If any one wrote the Bread pudding recipe down before today, it was wrong. Thanks to my cousin Jenn she noticed it seemed a little weird. I had 1 1/2 cups of vanilla but that would be discusting, so it's 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 tsps vanilla! Sorry.

Play Date

It's a crazy thought that most of my friends all now have kids. I love it and love it more when we get them together! From the left is Ezra Park, Elle Egan, Bentley, Jack Christensen.

It was a little hard getting them all to cooperate.

This is Bentley's boyfriend Ezra, he is very romatic and loves giving Bentley hugs and passionate kisses. She wasn't really liking the choke holds though.

yummy...

Yes everyone, I made this Bread pudding alone, NO help from Jeff! Now I know it doesn't really look like a wonderful treat but it is I promise. I made it for Easter and it was a hit. It's not exactly low in fat but it is way easy to make and yummy as can be! I didn't put the raisins in it cause I don't really like them in desserts. It kind of tastes a bit like rice pudding but we all liked it better. My fabulous mom- in-law gave me the recipe. Thanks Sandy! If anyone would like to try this, here is how to make it...

BREAD PUDDING

3 extra large whole eggs
8 extra large egg yolks
5 cups half and half
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsps pure vanilla extract
6 croissants
1 cup raisins

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole eggs, yolks, half and half, sugar, and vanilla. Set the custard mixture aside. Slice the croissants in half, horizontally. In a 10 x 15x 2 1/2 inch oval baking dish ( i just used a glass 9 x 13), disribute the bottoms of the sliced croissants, then add the raisins, then the tops of the croissants brown side up, being sure the raisins are between the layers of croissants or they will burn while baking. ( Even though I didn't use raisins I still cut the croissants so it would obsorb the custard better.) Pour the custard over the croissants and allow to soak for 10 minutes, pressing down gently.
Place the pan in a larger one filled with an inch of hot water. Cover the larger pan with aluminum foil, tending the foil so it doesn't touch the pudding. Cut a few holes in the foil to allow steam to escape. Bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for 40 to 45 more minutes or until the pudding puffs up and the custard is set. Remove from the oven and cool slightly.

Easter Day

Easter was fun. We went to my mom's and had an Easter egg hunt. Bentley wasn't really into it.

Patty came into town to get her hair done and just hang out! We love being lazy together... sit on the couch and watch fabulous shows!

We filled Bentley's eggs with srawberry yogurt cheerios. She loved opening them and dumping them on the floor more than eating them! Of course!

Cute Pics

It's kind of funny that she looks like a boy right here. Just hanging out! I love that face!

K. I did not abuse my child. This is her first bruiser, she some how smacked her forhead on our coffee table. Poor little babe! It bruised immediatley.

Elle and Annie are in town. Yeah!! They were just hang'n out getting to know each other again.

Elle is the biggest walker now. It is so cute! Both her and Bentley's cousin Alex are walking now. CRAZY! Bent's too cautious to even try.

Sis and Annie came into town the same time. I love when my friends all get together! The conversations are hilarious, I kind of felt bad for our waiter and other people around us. We were not holding back anything! We are all still the best of friends.

Patty WHAT Were you Thinking???

My sister-in-law Patty made it all the way through casting for this Bachlor then turned it down for a couple reasons (not good enough reasons in my opinion!). Seriously Patty he is georgous , are you kidding me! Dumbest decision ever!!!!!

I stole this picture from Patty's MySpace. Thanks Patty! You look hot, but who is that guy?

Slumber Party!

Bryn and Lauren slept over on friday night. We had fun doing sleepover stuff like putting colored extention in their hair (which they thought was so cool!), painting our nails, watching movies, and playing with "Benters".

This is how the girls did Bentley's hair in the morning! She loved having her cousies sleep over!

Doggie's

Roxie (tam's baby) loves Grandma and loves licking the babies faces. Bentley wasn't very happy with Rox trying to get her bottle!

Bentley is use to the runtster Roxie but when Bo and Lee come to visit it's a little different. Bo is little but he is tough, and Bentlers doesn't know how to handle that. Isn't Bo so hansome though!

They are getting along here pretty well...

then Bo started chewing on her toes...

she didn't really like that!

Doo's

Well... Bentley's hair is crazy as most all of you have seen! It's getting longer but the cowlick's seem to be getting stronger, sad for baby girl she will HATE her hair line! Seriously this is how it is every day!

I just thought I would through this one in, kind of crazy hair and cute pose!

Professional Pics

My sister Tam and Aunt Kaye are kind of getting into photography and took picutres of Bentley yesterday. Even though she won't smile for the camera the pictures came out so cute. I love them! Tam's got skills.

I love this one! She is driving her first car.

This is her smile for the camera. I guess I can't be too mad at that face!

Thanks Tam and Aunt Kaye, they all turned out better than Kiddie Kandids!
