Poppy.

Jeff's dad came into town and had some bonding time with the girls. Poppy drew for Bentley and she colored. They built towers with the blocks. Bent was very entertained by him, she wouldn't leave him alone for a second. She even sat and waited by the door while he took a shower. Thanks for the quick visit Poppy!

Why can't summer come and stay?

Well we thoroughly enjoyed the TWO whole days of 80 degree weather.
Luke came to play in our pool.

Bentley could not get enough of being outside.
The hose water was freezing but they didn't care.

Who needs a large luxury pool when you can have just as much fun in a 5 dollar blue plastic one?

Bent is actually smiling and looking at the camera for most of these.
I love her face!

Kell came by for some summer plastic pool time and loved it.
Didn't you Kell?

And then just like that the sun was gone and fifty freaking degree weather came back.

Easter. Just a little late.

I love LOVE this picture of my baby!
Isn't she a beauty?

Easter morning the girls found candy arrows pointing to the direction of their baskets. We could have just done that and they would have been happy.
I think Reese ate all of hers before Bent woke up.
My Bentley girl is of coarse being a stinker for the camera.

This was the best moment in her life I think.

My three lovies on Easter morning.

This is a four wheeler Bent got for her Birthday. They both have mastered driving it. Yes... Reese drives it.
Anyway I don't think Reese likes being behind the wheel with the fast and furious.
Can you tell?

The Easter hunt and dinner was at Mel's.

Reese figured out how to carry her bucket all by her self.

Sisters on Easter.

a glimpse of summer.

Reese got to meet her new little cousin for the first time.
The two of us flew to L.A. to meet Patty's babe and bask in the sun!

Reese thought Hollin was fun to poke and was very interested in her...
just at first, then paid no attention the rest of the trip.

This is Hollin Willardsen.

She has beautiful little lips and is tiny tiny.
Everyone already can't get enough of her!
Patty is such a natural. She can't stand to be away from her for a second.

The rest of the trip was spent doing hair, shopping, relaxing and soaking up the fabulous weather in Nicole's backyard.

This is how we kept Reese out of the pool.

Kendall was just a fantastic cousin to Reese.
She babysat and entertained her the whole weekend.
Reese loved her!

This is Nicole using her talents, feeding Reese with her toes while I was doing her hair.

LOVING every second of the sun!

(Thank you Patty for the trip, thank you Nicole for your hospitality and thank you Sandy for all the free time to play!)

this is for patty...

Who is on bed rest in the hospital going on 5 weeks!
And has been asking me to update my blog because she is dying of boredom.... oh i remember too well.
You rely on the internet to entertain your day that s l o w l y goes by hour by hour while you just lay there.

So this one is for you my sister.

A lot has happened in March.
First my baby turned one.

Then my Bentley girl turned three and started pre-school.

Aunt Jenny came in to town and of coarse brought the goods.
Bentley had to put everything on.
(thanks Nanna and Jenny!)

We have been trying to take advantage of the weather when it has been warm.
Bentley's favorite thing in life is animals... so feeding the ducks makes her whole day!

Jeff and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary!
(holy crap i am too young for this.)

On the cold days I got busy making more cake pops.
The Hello Kitty ones are kind of a pain but they turned out ok.

And the cup cake pops were pretty fun.
I helped Tam make these for a shower she attended.
Good bye March.
Welcome good weather.

why is he so cool you ask?

Six reasons....
(one for each year)

1. He is very entertaining.
2. He is super motivated... i.e. starting his own buisness and training for an IRON MAN.
3. He loves his girls!
4. He has a true passion for the outdoors.
5. He makes holidays so exciting and intense. Like a little kid!
and
6. Six years later and he still tells me I am beautiful EVERY SINGLE day!
No joke.

Happy anniversary baby dude!

just a few things.

*I know they look like trees. I was going for spring.
My cousin in Canada introduced me to these. She has been making them and putting them on her blog so I had to try them.

They are cake pops and they are amazing.
It is yummy super dense, moist cake inside a candy shell.
Now I am addicted and I will be attempting the HELLO KITTY ones.
Although I dont know if i am that talented.

Guess who would have eaten all of them if I let her?

I ended up taking them to Bunco.
I had to share them!
....

THIS is the other project I did last week.
It was intense.
I don't think I could do it again.
Very technical.
But it turned out too cute.

Mel of coarse was the one that found out how to do it.
So it was craft day at Mel's.
ALLLLLLLL day.

Bent's room has been so bare, so now
she loves having something to look at before bed!

life so far with her.

I know my posts these days are long but I just had to talk about our Bentley girl on her 3RD birthday.

She only weighed 2 1/2 pounds when she was born and spent 7 weeks in the hospital.
I hated leaving her behind every day.

Holding her was the highlight of my life!

First night home.

She was such a little doll.... but seemed so big after 7 weeks.

Six months later she chunked right up.

At one she loved to get into mischief.
But we couldn't get mad at that face!

Her daddy was in love from from the beginning.

At two she was still naughty but still our little angel.
We just love her to pieces!

The things she values most in life is her BINKY and BLANKEY.

She has always loved being out side no matter the weather.
Here she wanted to be cool like the boys and pee in the trees while we were up the canyon.

Now she is three and I can't wait to see what she becomes. This year I am excited to see her personality shine even more as her speech progresses.
Maybe she will even grow out of her naughtiness... (maybe!).

For her birthday breakfast we made her favorite food... pancakes.
(Who doesn't love carbs and sugar?)

Bensy we love you so much!
