Bear Lake Reunion

We just got back from my mom's side Rawsthorne family reunion in Bear Lake. It was the first time for the reunion to be down here in the states, we have always had it in Canada. So all the Canadians drove down and we all met at the lake. It was so much fun to have everyone together, it has been a few years. The week went very smoothly, the dinners were great, the activities were fun, and the beach was nice and relaxing. Oh and the fresh rasberry shakes... every night, sometimes twice a day, that is a must when in Bear Lake!
And i gotta say out of all the reunion shirts we saw there, ours were by far the best!

This is my cousin Kate, we are the same age. She grew up riding horses and I envied her life every year we were in Canada visiting. I wanted to be a cowgirl so bad. Although she is not really a cowgirl anymore.

Best cousies, Reese and Samatha.

My mom and Grandma, aren't they beautiful!

Not the best picture of my family but the only one we got.

This is me juggling my two kids. Reese was such a delight on the trip, Bent not so much...

This is my sister Lori and her little boy Luke.

Oh man Reese was in heaven! Parker gave her his sucker to see what she would do and she just went to town. It was so funny to watch her hold onto the stick and know exactly what to do!

I am so obsessed with her these days.

Sam and Reese in their baby leggings.

Cousin tub party with Bent, Livie, and Alex.

I just LOVE her face so much!

Jo and Alex just lounging in the sun.

Best buddies Grandpa and Reese. They love hanging out! Reese loved the sand under her feet.

My Grandma, mom and all her sisters hanging out on the beach.

My Grandma is the best, she is in her nineties and very willingly went out on the wave runner. She told my cousin Tom to go as fast as he wanted. Ha ha.. we love her! I want to be just like her!

catching up on old times!

I went out to lunch with some high school friends yesterday. I haven't seen Kathrine Moss in ages, it was so fun to get caught up! Jenny and Mitch of course are so much fun. Mitchell was the best boy while we all ate and talked. My kids are NEVER like that, (thats why mine were left home). From the left it's "Mitch man", Kell, Jenny, Kace, Kathrine and me.

We could all not get enough of him. What a sweetie! Kace just kept on feeding him her cotton candy ice cream. As you can see he LOVED it!

They came over to my house after to visit. Reese and Mitchell had a love connection. She couldn't stop starring at him and he couldn't stop holding her hands! How precious are they? The little guy is almost two.

i almost forgot!

One of the best things about this trip was going to Yogurtland both days we were there. This place beats all the other frozen yogurt places hands down! First of all they have about 12 different flavors and a ton of toppings and you make it yourself. Second, it is cheaper than all the other competitors out there. Got to love that!

i {heart} rod.

This last weekend Jeff, Kacey, Jake, and I took a road trip to Vegas to see the Rod Stewart concert. Now I know what you are all thinking... "why the heck would you go all the way to Las Vegas to see Rod Stewart?" Jeff worked on Rod's tour a few years ago, and I would go out to see a few of his shows. One of them was here in Salt Lake and I took some of my family. We seriously loved his show. It was so much fun and part of it I think was that Jeff was working on it. Out of all of Jeff's tours he has been on, Rod has been one of our favorites. The crowd is different, and in my opinion a little more fun that the usual teeny bopper crowds. But Rod is a good performer, and I must say it was so fun to watch him again. Thanks Nikki for getting us tickets!
These pictures are out at the Palms pool where we stayed. Jeff, Kacey, and Jake all fell asleep laying out. I can't fall asleep in that kind of heat!

Thanks Kace and Jake for coming with us! It was a blast! Jake didn't really know any of the songs, but he said he still loved the show. What a good sport!
I have a video of good old Rod so I will try to post it later. Maybe I will even put the crazy fan I secretly filmed on too! Part of the fun was watching all the loony tunes around us!

We left our kids home with my family, it was a nice little weekend get-a-way! I have to give a shout out to my dad for watching Reese. He is such a good Grandpa, he took her for walks, took her to the park to see the ducks (even though she obviously didn't care). He took his babysitting job so seriously, it was so cute. Thanks Dad, and thanks Jo and Tam for helping out as well. You guys rock!

beauty parlor and potty training...

Bentley had a busy day painting her toenails, my toenails, and Grandma's toenails. She did it with lip gloss, but to her it was definitely multi-purpose.

Mommy's toes. She did a really good job not getting it on the carpet.

Grandma was not aware that I told Bentley to go paint her nails too, so she took it away thinking she was making a big mess. That is why the sad face right here. I made Grandma give it back so she could finish the job. And it was a job well done!

She then proceeded to the lips. With such concentration she got Grandma all dolled up for the day.

We have TRIED to get her potty trained but no such luck. Maybe we will put it off until she can actually communicate to us with words. She just likes to sit on it and feel cool.

the Hamptons.

Jeff was in New York a couple weeks ago with his sister Nicole and his niece Kinley. They were there for a party in the Hamptons that Nicole had to attend for business. It was a pretty celeb filled affair. They sat at the table with P Diddy and his girlfriend. Kinley sat by herself at a table with the New York Governor. Jeff said she had the whole table, including the Governor, in stitches. She had no fear to talk to anyone. People were shocked when they found out she was only fifteen!

The fabulous Kinley.

Jeff is in LOVE with the homes there.
